Theatre School Saturday Mornings

Act One Theatre School meets each Saturday morning in term time at The Place. There are two sessions: The first from 9:30am to 11am for 8 to 12 year olds, and the second from 11:30am to 1pm for 12 to 16+ year olds.
The theatre school is run by Sally Hammelev, who teaches at StAndrews School in Bedford, teaching both whole class drama, and small group speech and drama lessons. Sally leads both Saturday morning sessions herself, assisted by colleagues. The intention is to run a fairly small drama group, taught by experienced staff, in a safe and friendly environment. Each session consists of a variety of activities, including drama games and exercises, lots of improvisation, and some scripted work.
